Research interests include young exoplanets, transit photometry (measuring the dip in starlight as a planet passes in front of its star), stellar clusters, protoplanetary disks (the gas and dust disks where planets form), and open-source astronomy software.
Received a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Tokyo under the supervision of Prof. Motohide Tamura.
